Special Line Model line TUFO SPECIAL has undergone thorough modernization. New, more subtle carcass from high strength polyamide is used, lowering rolling resistance and increasing puncture proofing. Utilization of this new material has made the carcass more flexible and increased the usable tire life.
Another improvement is in the tire tread compound with exceptionally high content of activated silica with special synthetic rubbers. The tread compound is unusually strong, assuring very high puncture resistance, low rolling resistance and excellent adhesion on wet or dry road. All models, except the cyclocross ones, have a buffer underneath the tread, consisting of rubber cord composite with circumferential orientation. This buffer layer reinforces the product against punctures furthermore and significantly contributes to lower rolling resistance. |
